GRAND SOLEIL BLUE: THE GRAND SOLEIL 33 FEET DAYSAILER ZERO IMPACT
Cantiere del Pardo is proud to announce that it is working on a new Research and Development project to design an innovative prototype of an eco-friendly sailing boat: the Grand Soleil BLUE, the Grand Soleil 33 feet Daysailer Zero Impact.
With a length of approximately 10 meters, the Grand Soleil BLUE will be made from recyclable composite materials with zero emissions, designed for daily use, and equipped with an electric auxiliary propulsion system.
At the core of the new Grand Soleil BLUE project is the experimentation with a novel hull construction technology based on fully recyclable composite materials. Using a composite made from eco-friendly thermoplastic fibers and resins allows for the decomposition of the material at the end of its useful life (Design For Disassembly), based on what has already been developed by the Northern Light Composites company.
To ensure the complete recyclability of the boat, the materials and assembly technologies for the interior and onboard furnishings will also be studied. Special attention will be given to the materials, paints, and adhesives.
